First Ward Councilwoman Representing Sewaren & Woodbridge Proper
Sharon McAuliffe was recently elected by the Woodbridge Democratic Organization to fill the vacant First Ward Council position after the sudden passing of the late Councilwoman Nancy Drumm. Sharon was sworn in on January 18, 2022 with a mission to honor Nancy’s legacy while forging her own path on the Township Council. Sharon’s family has been in Woodbridge for three generations and she is a proud Woodbridge High School Graduate.
Facts about Sharon:
Heavily involved in many events throughout Woodbridge such as Earth Day, Relay for Life, Pizza Run, Tooling Around the Town, Mayor’s Fishing Tournament, Saint James Street Fair, as well as the Wednesday and Thursday night free summer concerts.
Advocates for Local Businesses and the revitalization of Downtown Woodbridge through her efforts as the council liaison on the Special Improvement District.
Promotes local artists through various projects such as the Train Station Murals and events at the Gallery on Main.
Acting member of the Board for the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Formerly employed by various Fortune 500 companies in San Fransisco and New Jersey and developed knowledge in finance, technologies, construction management, and human resources.
Mentors students by employing them at her business helping them develop communication skills, business knowledge, and the ability to work in a team.
