Kyle Anderson


At-Large Councilman Representing Woodbridge Township

Kyle Anderson has been an At-Large Councilman serving the entire Woodbridge Community since February of 2011 when he filled the seat of his former high school teacher, Pat Osborne, who retired from the position making Kyle the first person of color to ever hold public office in Woodbridge history.  Soon thereafter, Kyle won his first election earning a four year term on the Woodbridge town council. Kyle was raised in Iselin and educated in the Woodbridge school system before heading to Middlesex College and eventually attending and graduating from The College of NJ with a degree in Public Administration.  Kyle and his wife, Denise resided in Woodbridge Proper for 20 years raising their 5 children Kyle, Olivia, Nyah, Derek and Bryan before moving to Colonia in 2017. 

Facts about Kyle:

  • Advocates for youth sports and has coached hundreds of township youth and has restructured and led formerly failing youth sports programs back to vibrant, proud leagues.

  • Serves as Interim Executive County Superintendent of Schools for Middlesex County and continues his studies in Educational Leadership at Kean University.

  • Volunteers on various Middlesex County Boards and township committees.

Fun Facts about Kyle:

  • He enjoys walking, golfing, reading, raising his 3 dogs (Scooby, Titan and Cash) watching movies and promoting his kids sports on social media like Tik Tok (even though his kids hate him being on that app)

  • Little Known Fact: Kyle was an All-Conference football player at his college and returned there as a coach for a few seasons.
